About Us

This site is the work of a group of friends with a common interest in royalty.

Yvonne is the originator and owner of the website. She is a professional editor and technical writer, and is an expatriate British citizen resident in the USA. She has been interested in royalty for longer than she can remember and is particularly interested in British and Japanese royal history. She spent some years as the moderator and administrator Elspeth at The Royal Forums; Elspeth is now to be found at the forum associated with The Royal Universe.

Kelly is half French and half Canadian, and is a dog lover and a fan of the X Files. She recently started studying law at university. She is mostly interested in British royals, especially the relationship between royals, specifically Diana Princess of Wales, and the media. She is a talented amateur artist and creator of photo collages, and as such she is responsible for much of the artwork at the site.

Aimée is originally Belgian but moved to Switzerland after she completed her studies. Living in her little chalet in the mountains doesn’t stop her from following the royals and their activities. She works as a freelance journalist and enjoys skydiving in her free time. She is our technical expert and is responsible for turning our ideas into reality on the page. She is also a major contributor to the website and blog.

Jack is a young scholar, eager reader of biographies and history books, music lover and keen pianist. He lives in a nice city surrounded by hills in a wonderful Mediterranean country, and is a law student. He has innate royalist feelings and developed a strong interest in royals and royal history as a child; now he is grown up and likes to write, he is keen to share his knowledge of royalty.

Michelle is a twenty-something from New Zealand. She recently finished her university studies and is getting accustomed to life as a working girl. She was interested in fashion before royalty but gradually became more knowledgeable about the women wearing the couture. She is our fashion guru and expert on Scandinavian royals, as well as the current and former royals in her native South Pacific region.

April is a Southern Belle who spent most of her adult life in Europe, where she found her Beau and finished her education. She is now a proud young mother of an adorable little boy. She married a Dutchman, which explains her interest in Dutch royals. She is also interested in European royal history in general. As she says herself: “if I can’t be the Queen Bee (having given that title up to much worthier women), I can at least watch from afar!”

Patricia is a thirty-something Spaniard. She is interested in past and present monarchies but also loves everything that has to do with diplomacy and politics. She lives in Madrid, where she grew up, but she loves to go to the Spanish mountains from time to time. She works at the private office of a Spanish artist. She is an enthusiastic blogger and a fount of knowledge on the Spanish monarchy.

Janet is a speech-language pathologist and autism awareness advocate; she also oversees a therapeutic horseback riding program for children with special needs.  She has a devoted husband and is the proud mother of a wonderful young son. Her interest in royalty is centred on royal jewels, in particular the various orders and insignia. She is also interested in tracing the history of individual jewels as they pass from generation to generation.
